I have slung no mud at candidate Raymond, and I have called her no name. I have only pointed out that, having invited Mr. Uher into her campaign, she is responsible for all the vile and taunting remarks he and his friends have made about Mrs. Reade in this campaign. This website has been consumed for weeks at a time by such comments. I hold Mrs. Raymond accountable for each one of those remarks, just as if she had made them herself.
Mr. Uher's misconduct -- and we have seen it time and again for years -- must be purged from local politics. If candidates he disfavors must continue to put up with such personal abuse, there will come a time when no one decent will ever consider running for local office.
It is well-known what he represents. Candidates, such as Mrs. Raymond, who accept his support can no longer plead ignorance. In the interest of simple public decency, we must never elect any such candidate to any public office.
