Rumor has it that the Kohl's department store in Pickerington is far from a done deal.

Can Lou provide a letter of intent from Kohl's stating they are locating where he's publicized?

I rather enjoyed the comment from Kohl's in the newspaper about how they wouldn't comment on sites that hadn't been finalized or announced from their company.

Sounds like Pickerington's perception of the deal and Kohls' are two different things. Go figure!

Traffic flow

My second favorite part of the article was this.

Bushman said Pickerington's traffic access plan was also an asset.

''If we hadn't had our access plan in place, normally a Kohl's wouldn't locate that far off the interstate,'' she said.

From someone who drives 1 mile from their home to city hall to work I'm sure our traffic patterns seem wonderful.

However to the 99.9% of the rest of us who have to leave the city to go to work our traffic patterns suck. That is unless you think sitting in traffic whiffing the fumes of the car sitting in front of you is pleasant.

Let's just hope the Kohl's folks don't visit our fair city during the holiday season. When they see the lines of cars from 7am to 10pm sitting there they might rethink their location.
