Times Letter

Posted in: PATA
Quite a bashing of the PATA in the letter from Mike somebody in the recent ''Times''. I guess anyone is entitled to their opinion.

Come to think of it, I think I've seen his opinion once before. Last year, right before the overwhelming passage of the three growth control initiatives, I think I saw that same name on a piece of literature sent to me outlining why I should vote against those same initiatives.

I think that same mailing was sent by a PAC, which the PATA later discovered had only one contributer recorded...the BIA.

Seems someone is still angry. Maybe it's more than just that the PATA embarrassed him...maybe he's worried that the PATA might be insrumental in upsetting his friends control of this community.

Too Bad!

Lets look at the facts

Our Mr. Mike somebody only writes what they tell him to write. He is more than likely a very poor insurance agent and needs the leads from new housing starts to survive.

The facts are that Pickerignton Local Schools had an INCREASE of new students this years of 530 NEW STUDENTS. If you include the career centers then the count goes up to 586.

Why did PATA not scream about the township not having a moratorium? Well the township only issued 138 building permits so far this year. On the other hand Pickerington has issued at least 350 and the city is only half the size of the township. That is what Mike something calls a moratorium. I would hate to see what he would define uncontrolled growth as.

So Mike where did all these kids come from?

So Mike did you really pay for that sewer tap and water tap connected to your Hill Road property last year?

So Mike are these letters your payments to Joyce and the city for the taps?

So Mike don't be supprised if some of your customers cancel their policies in the next few days.

Same

This is the same argument the characters on city council used. They wouldn't agree to any type of moratorium unless the township did the same. I don't think we have to worry too much about the township. Building permits issued by the township this year is about the same or a little less than last year. The uncontrolled growth of the city is another story altogether!!

How many permits have been issued by the city???
