Ahh yes but..
In case Honourable Lou is unable to carry the election they've submitted the name of someone else who will carry on his tradition. Or at least this candidate may steal enough votes from David to retain Lou. Very calculating group - Gray's army - use fancy words like ''New blood'' and hope it attracts the votes.
All Gray's army needs is 1 seat in November to retain their grip on city hall so they have 3 candidates for council and 1 for Mayor, outside of the obvious Lou.

Property Rights
In 1861, another General Lee lead The army of Northern Virgina and they fought many battles for what they called in their time ''States Rights.'' Today our General Lee is trying to do the same thing but he calls his cursade a battle for ''Property Rights.'' Just like in 1861 the country went to war over states rights while denying many of our citizens their rights protected under the constitution. Today our General Lee wages his war to protect property rights while denying many of the citizens their rights under the Ohio Consitution. Will 2003 be our General Lee's Gettysburg much like the original General Lee of 1863?

140 years and no change
I believe we agree on more than you think. Like in 1861 the first General Lee defended the rights of the Plantation owners.
Again in 2003 our General Lee is defending the rights of the rights of the large land owners.
Do the citizens of Pickerington have the right to have candidates state their position and when they do get elected they do what they said they were going to do as a candidate?
Do the citizens of Pickerington have the right to speak before council and have their conerns addressed? They certainly listended to the BIA on March 4th 2003.
Do the Pickerington Citizens have the right to have open and honest meetings concerning zoning votes. Should our elected leader be willing wo to unbiased? Unlike current councilman Doug Parker who was the only person to speak in favor of the Diley Farm annexation.
Does signing contracts with developers for pre-annexation agreements that state the zoning that will be granted after annexation is that a right of the developer or the denying the rights of the citizens of that community? More than once contract zoning has been ruled by the courts to be unlawful.
Does passing zoning issues by emergency thus denying the citizens their right to run a referendum is that protecting our rights as citizens.
Our General Lee is fully funded by the large land owners and he plans to promote his candidates so he can continue to protect the rights of the developers.
As for not careing about the rights of the developers you should reconsider that. Everyone should be treated equaly under ou law. However as citizens of Pickerington we do not have the money resources to demand our rights like the developers do.
However we should be protected by those that have taken an oath to serve us and represent us on the Pickerington City Council. Clearly rarely do they consider the impact on the Pickerington taxpayers or the school district taxpayers. They only serve those that have the resourses to protect themselves. Maybe they have like Tom Hart says became pro-growth councilmen for a reason.
