It is nice to see who builders like the Heitmeyers and former councilmen like Washington feel is a person of ethics and integrity.
Recently Lou Postage took credit for bringing Kohl's to town and even made it the centerpiece of his full page ad. Unfortunately, Kohl's has not yet made a decision to move to Pickerington, making Lou's statement, quote frankly, a big fat lie.
Did the absence of fact stop Lou. No, he actually took a conversation about a possible move to Pickerington that was to be held in confidence and blurted it out for his own political gain without any concern that Kohl's did not want this to be public information. Good old trustworthy Lou. I am sure that other businesses will be anxious to hold confidential discussions wth Lou about possibly moving to Pickerington.
Moreover, by divulging information such as this Lou violated SEC regulations concerning the divulging of insider information. Add to this the fact that Lou violated several copyright laws by using Kohl's propreitary name without their permisssion and republished copyrighted archtitectural drawing without permission and you get a good senss of Lou's regard for the law.
This is the same Lou Postage that keeps telling people that he will control growth while at the same time presiding over the largest residential expansion in Pickerington history. Once again, why let facts stand in the way of a good campaign promise.
This is the same Lou Postage who often is delinquent on his real estate taxes. So much for fiscal responsibility. Now do you understand why the city is 27 million dollars in debt and about to add 14 million more.
This is the same Lou Postage who sold Judge McCullough his insurance policy before the Judge allegedly burned down his home. The same Lou Postage who kept voting to renew McCullough's contract for city attorney. This is the same Lou Postage who is recieving support fromt he same old crowd that backed now incarcerated former Sheriff DeMastry. Lou really has good judgment on whom he associates with.
This is the same Lou Postage who was a Democrat for many years only to be recently converted, prior to this election, to a Republican. So much for party loyalty.
In all fairness, Lou is loyal to some friends. WHen his old buddy Craig Maxey was thrown off the council by the voters Lou promptly put him back on despite overwhelming public outcry.
This is the same Lou Postage who saw no ethical problem with allowing the city manager to wheel and deal development properties while presiding over the same city government that was supposed to regulate these lands. The same Lou Postage who saw no problem appointing to counsela person actively seelling his land for dvelopment. Conflict of interest-I don't see no stinking conflict of interest.
If this the type of person that the Heitmeyer's feel is honest and ethical remind me never to buy a house from them.
