Where goes the second vote?

Posted in: PATA

I've noticed many yard signs in many yards over the past month. Many with Postage, Bowman, and Smith; many with the gang of four - Shaver, Hackworth, Riggs and Wisniewski - it seems clear that the Slow Growth folks have stepped up and we will vote for them or for the status quo of Postage, Bowman, Smith and Smith.

What is puzzling is the School Board Race - most folks have only one sign in their yards - yet two seats are open. These candidates have not positioned themselves together - although pairs are endorsed here and there.

Where goes the second vote?

Who will Raymond cast her second vote for?

Who will Brink cast his second vote for?

Who will Vail cast his second vote for?

Who will Reade cast her second vote for?

Who will Smith cast his second vote for?

Who will Sigman cast his second vote for?

School Board

I believe the Status Quo for school board will be the combo of Mike Smith, Marcy Raymond, and Larry Sigman. The school board status quo seems to be having problems with who they support.

I believe you will see the ''gang of four'' supporting Brink and Reade. I believe I read a letter from Bruce Rigelman that he is supporting Brink and Reade also. Remember Dr. Rigelman is a Democrat and the Republican Club of NW Fairfield County endorsed Brink and Reade as well.

I can only judge them by the passion they have shown at Pickerington City Council meetings and at Pickerington School Board meetings. Please remember that Jim Brink was the fellow that called the Randy Hughes city administration ''The despots of our time.'' Lisa Reade has worked for slow growth. Even with the criticism on this web site she is at least trying. Where have the others been? If the citizens of this school district want some real change they will support Brink and Reade. Once elected they will work with the gang of four on council.
Raymond & Vail

Marcy Raymond & Chris Vail have been endorsed by the Pickerington Times Sun.
Reade & Brink

Reade & Brink have been endorsed by the Republican Club of Northwest Fairfield County.

For those of you wondering - this is the Republican Club that Craig Maxey, Doug Parker & Lee Gray are NOT members of.
