There is a Referendum petition ready to be circulated to put on hold the request for a loan for an expanded sewer plant. Council passed the third reading on Tuesday night. There is the 30 day period in which to get at least 361 signatures.
David, Brian and Ted feel the expansion is possibly too large and too costly. The Referendum which would go to the ballot in November 2004, would put on hold the situation until the new mayor and council could get a better grasp of what they feel is really needed and the best way to go.
Though you are probably worn out from the past few weeks, wonder if you could help circulate. We have lost a few good ones and need help.
