Cashing in on their retirement
I believe if you all remember Terry and Harry have family farms they will protect. Clearly they are both beholding to the large land owners. Once they get another four years in office I am afraid they will make every effort to plat as much property as they can. One method in slowing growth is with impact fees. Clearly Terry has been firmly against any kind of additional costs to the builders. He rejects Jim Petro's assessment that a limit home rule township could impose impact fees. Terry feels and I am heard him say this is that he only worries about running the Township and he doesn't worry about the schools. With the exception of Weltlich; Harry Meyers, Terry Dunlap and Bill Yaple and their families own huge tracks of land in the township. I doubt that any of the three would want to put a damper on their families selling out. I truly hope I am wrong about the trustees and their intent. They sure are putting on big campaign considering that neither has an opponent. |
