The un flattering picture and story in the Dispatch sums up the needs of the school system.

The schools need the space, it is real.

Put your differences about the PHSN campus aside (what was done was done - no changing now) and think about what is needed... not more portables, not split sessions, not sharing lunch and gym space. The kids need the proposed schools.

Who among us hasn't made a mistake, asked for and received mercy, and made things right?

I agree.

The proposed school levy is not everything I might have wanted, and the new high school and junior high are considerably more than I ever wanted. But we need good schools; we clearly need two new elementary schools; and this levy offers us the only chance we now have to bring them on line.

I have voted against levies in the past. Indeed, even as a school board member, I voted against the levy for the new high school and junior high. But we can't wait. We need the new elementary schools now.

This is why my family and I are all voting Yes on this levy. We urge all of you to do the same.

There is a power point on the district's website that has an entire presentation on one of the elementary schools.

The photo's are amazing - they look like salmon swimming upstream. I think this is in one of the schools that actually moved a lot of kids out last year so they wouldn't be so crowded.
