I see in the paper this morning that Pickerington Central won over Westerville Central by a score of 14 to zero.
Westerville came very close to forfeiting the game because they did not show up on time. It seems their bus driver actually drove the Westerville team to Pickerington Central High School. After an extensive search of the High School grounds they discovered no stadium. Then to the North and like the star of Bethlehem the Tiger stadium lights glowed in the misty rain over the horizon that lead them to the stadium. Once at Ridgeview the bus driver asked for directions. He said he had been at the High School and discovered no stadium. He was informed that the Pickerington Central High School plays on the Junior High Stadium. ''You got to be kiddin'', the bus driver replied. To reassure the driver that there was an actual stadium there the good Samaritan escorted the driver to the edge of the ravine to show him the MIGHTY TIGER stadium. Only seeing one end of the stadium because the homes stands were in his line of sight the bus driver observed, ''Hey they only have 7/8 of a track''. The good Samaritan further explained that football field was only 78 yards long to accommodate the smaller track. The driver said, ''you got to be kiddin''. ''We just marked the field lines as if they are 10 yards apart and tell everyone our kids are fast and tall'', the good Samaritan offered. Driver said, ''you got to be kiddin.'' ''You can expect some record field goals in about every game'', the good Samaritan said.
The driver asked where he should park and the good Samaritan showed him the spaces for the buses. Looking at the undersized bus parking space the driver said, ''you got to be kiddin.'' ''I know'', said the good Samaritan, ''but we had to make more spaces because of all of the cars and buses coming into a Junior High School parking lot by the High School events''.
Driver then said, ''I have never tried to park a bus in such a small space and I have never seen a school so lacking on their facilities.'' The good Samaritan replied, ''apparently you have not needed to use the rest rooms yet.''
