Now Doug Parker
Here is Parker's quote from the other night.
''Here are the 10 conclusions we paid $85,000 for,'' Parker said, pointing at a summary of the report. ''It's pathetic. We paid all this money to find out things we already know.
''We already know we need commercial development,'' he said, adding that the city could have found better uses for the money.
Then if Mr. Parker knew all of this then why didn't he challenge Bill Wright in 2003?
Clearly what Bill Wright was saying was only for one year and that year was 2001. If they were slick they could have put off debt like a huge sewer plant expansion until after the 2001 numbers were in and they did.
Apparently what Doug didn't know was that single family homes cost the existing tax payers over $700 per acre even after the two lots per acre ordinance that he opposed in 2002. That $700 per acre doesn't include the schools or the fire department. SO if Doug Parker knoew all of this then why did he allow all of that residential property to be annexed and rezoned when he KNEW WE NEEDED COMMERICAL DEVELOPMENT?
Then talking about taxpayer wasted money. DOug Parker also was in office when Joyce spent $150,000 to donate to a PAC against SB 5 in 2000 and 2001. That was the annexation bill that reformed the annexation laws.
