It is no secret that the Pickerington area is largely Republican. And it would tend to follow that this population is also for the most part anti-abortion. Good so far.

Now we have an organization that would like to start a group home for unwed mothers in our community. Have these right to lifers welcomed these women with open arms? Heck no, they registered their complaints at city hall.

Heck, this is Pickerington. We can?’t have those kinds of people in our community. They are PREGENANT don?’t ya see?

Thank goodness that some black church didn?’t want to start a congregation at our empty Big Bear store. Then Pickerington would have been exposed as the bigots that our next door neighbors are. (A Right Wing space ship like the one on Gender would probably be okay)

You can?’t have it both way folks.

If you don?’t want people to have access to abortions then you better be willing to welcome them into your community and offer them some support

You need to get your facts straight before spouting off.

First you say Pickerington is mostly Republican. Where did you get that information and if you know the truth why are you spreading lies.

According to the Fairfield County Board of Elections there are 9,700 registered voters in the City of Pickerington. Of that number only 1,700 are registered as Republican.

Second abortion is still legal in America. So why are these teenagers pregnant? If you were more civic minded and you had attended the meeting you would have quickly learned that the concern in the neighborhood was not the pregnant teenagers from mostly out of our community, and enjoying our schools, but the young studs wanting a little action from these wayward girls their hanging around the neighborhood.

Also if you had been in attendance you would have also quickly realized that the neighbors protesting the group home also included minorities.

In addition there was the elderly that were very concerned about this kind of influence coming to their neighborhood and affecting their property values. The current owners had long been neglectful in their upkeep and property maintenance.

So to claim those neighbors are bigots is that what you liberals refer to as STEREOTYPING?

Thanks, for the ''facts''. As Paul Harvey says: Now here is the rest of the story. It is very easy to be critical of issues when you get the news from the papers. It was also good to know that there were minorities in the protesting group.

There was a home for unwed mothers on Pickerington Road a few years ago. Do not know what happened, but it is now a day-care center.
