Who Would Bill Bennett Abort?

This guy makes Pat Robertson look good.

Bennett: ''I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down.''

While Bennett has said that he was ''sorry if people are hurt'' by his comments, he did not apologize for making them; in fact, he defended them as a legitimate way to provoke a discussion. ABC's Jake Tapper noted that Bennett ''did not seem particularly apologetic'' and that Bennett saw criticism of his comments as ''a way that his enemies, his opponents were out to get him.''

Thought like this isn't new. 65 years ago we called it the Holocaust.

The NUT jobs have truly hi-jacked the right wing.

Bennett is no right wing nut job. Perhaps if you read the rest of the quote, immediately after what you have posted, you would not be so quick to condemn.
Bennett was talking about extrapolations being made based upon one set of facts, and he said you could get carried away. He then gave the example as cited in your post, followed by saying:

''That would be an impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible thing to do. But your crime rate would go down.
So these far-out, these far-reaching, you know, extensive extrapolations are, I think, tricky.''

Bill Should Apologize

Bill has put his foot in his mouth, and the context does not really help. Bill should publicly apologize for his thoughtless and offensive remark. Why is that so difficult?
