The Pacoima TNI encompasses the commercial frontage of Van Nuys Boulevard between the Golden State Freeway (I-5) and Glenoaks Blvd. There is a mixture of retail, highway commercial, automobile service, light industrial, and public uses of the buildings. However, Pacoima lacks a clearly identifiable activity core, therefore a Pacoima Town Center concept has been developed. Efforts will concentrate on improving public and private properties with the aim of giving the area a sense of place and attractiveness that will bolster the are'' economic strength and viability. The entire program will be administered in conjunction ith the Pacoima Partners, a group of community stakeholders.
