Laurel Canyon Boulevard Improvements Paved sidewalks are virtually non-existent along Laurel Canyon between Pierce and Filmore Streets. By replacing curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, pedestrian safety will improve. Also, roadways needing repair increase the danger of hazardous zigzag motoring conditions.
Van Nuys Boulevard Public Improvements will also increase safety, provide easier access to local merchants and promote a more street-friendly pedestrian environment for the community at large.
Van Nuys Boulevard Streetscape Program will greatly contribute to the Pacoima Town Center themed environment with architect-designed landscape, signage, street trees, benches, and other landscaping to provide shade; the installation of entry gateway markers, coordinated street signs, decorative crosswalks, coordinated signage for public services and the installation of bus stop shelters.
Van Nuys Boulevard Fa?§ade Program the small business along Van Nuys Boulevard will receive assistance to improve the attractiveness of their buildings. Deteriorating structures will be repaired and storefronts renovated.
