Where's the Pride

Getting PO'd

Good. I'm glad to see that I'm getting people PO'd. Maybe then things will change around here.

BTW, I do know my neighbors. My neighbors feel exactly the same way I do. Also, I don't sit around inside my ''fortress'' and do nothing at all. I do my part around here too. I have mowed my neighbor's yard when he was too damn drunk or hungover to do it. I wrote off one of his debts when it became inevitable that he wasn't going to pay me back. I not only pick up my trash, but I've picked up trash on my neighbor's yard. These unkempt yards I'm talking about do not belong to invalids or the elderly but able-bodied people who only know one exercise: flex their beer biceps. I have fed my neighbor's kids when their parents were too trashed to feed them. I've lived in this neighborhood all my life, and when I moved out briefly, I continued to come to the Southside to visit my family. I'm not a transplant from the Northside. I have seen this neighborhood slowly deteriorate.

I will continue to do my part. There's nothing wrong with having a little pride.

PO'd?

No you have it all wrong. I'm not PO'd at all. I'm glad that you are doing more than complaining. I don't see how you could have gotten that I was PO'd. With all due respect, your tone seems quite angry. You insist on using bad language on this public forum. Seems awfully disrespectful to the other users and I don't think anyone would deny that you are very judgemental. And, my Bible says that there is everything wrong with pride. Nonetheless, we had another neighborhood meeting where we discussed at length our game plan for addressing some of the issues that you raise. Of course, we aren't planning any witch hunts, just some plain old roll-up-your-sleeves type work. I want to extend a personal invitation to you and your family. We could use the help and maybe you will find that channeling that energy in a positive direction might make you feel better. Stress is a killer. You'll find that by far, the people in th our association are a bunch of good, honest, hardworking family people. We would love to have you. Keep up the good work and try to relax.
