Scary
This is very scary because #1 no one was caught, #2 we have neighbors who will not call 911 when they admittedly see someone shooting a gun right where they live, #3 if someone has it in for someone down here it could all happen again!
I will be keeping my little ones in the back yard or the house.

I think the Security Network should contact their members and try and get them actively involved again.
Maybe neighbors need to volunteer to patrol at night like they used to.

Radio listeners
Security radio members were on the air when this incident happened, maybe you wern't listening.
You have to want to participate, and you can't just participate when something happens. You have to listen and participate when ever you can and often.
Maybe it's a wake up call to start monitoring more often. I hope everyone starts monitoring again and partticipating. You say you are a Radio Listener do you participate in roll calls? I hope so.
There are dedicated participants who haven't stopped involving themselves.
For those who have stopped listening
I will just say that sure when you have something happen to YOU the dedicated listeners will be there.
We may not have had the extent of crimes like all the breakins that happened last summer but there is still a criminal element lurking out there.
I hope listeners, members and anyone who would like a safer neighborhood will start monitoring and participating.
