I recently attended my first PPCA meeting since the discussion on having street lights installed in Park Place. I have tried before to get involved in past association activities, but always came away with the feeling that those involved had agendas different from preserving Park Place as a nice place to live. Although only 7 neighbors were in attendance, I truly got the impression that keeping Park Place a pleasnat neighborhood and protecting all of our investments is the only agenda of those people currently involved. And perhaps even more importantly, all those present were ''real people'' with good neigbor intentions. I also found out that the reason this web site seems to be ineffective and WAY behind in informing is not because of the leadership of the association, but instead procedural policies of Neighborhood Link.
I think our Association leadership are truly putting effort into this, and for the first time in my 12 years of living here, I am excited about getting involved and preserving a really nice neighborhood.
I have agreed to be the contact person for getting and keeping our entrances repaired and in shape. Please, call me if you'd like to get involved or even if you just have input on how the entrances should look or be maintained. My email address is listed here, and my phone number is 614-759-0713. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with ideas.
