The PPCA has appointed me as the contact person for cleaning up, repairing, and beautifying the entrances to Park Place.
I've gotten so used to driving in and out of Park Place, never really noticing the entrances that I have not realized how some of them are poorly maintained.
There are dead plants, even dead trees! Some light fixtures are missing and at least one appears to stay on all the time... day and night. One sign has fallen down. Some plant selection leaves something to be desired... who decided to plant climbing ivy near a Park Place sign? Mulching is not consistent. One sign has red rocks at its base, and others have no kind of ground cover or mulch.
Why do we have Colonial Blue and beige signs? I'm just wondering. Is there a need for stepping stones over there on Hines and Harbour Town in front of the sign... looks like there's a lot of foot traffic beating down the grass there. The entries that look good... who is taking care of them? Are those neghbors who take care of them going to hate me if I recommend all mulching be consistent at every entrance? The east corner at Grand Haven and Tussing... shouldn't there be a flower bed there too?
Tell me I can take phone calls from neighbors about the entrances and I turn into the expert on what the entrances SHOULD be like. You don't want that, my tastes are too simple and plain if you ask me. If you ask people who know me, they may tell you I have NO taste at all.
Please, get in touch with me with your input. That's all I want. Yes, my fingers are crossed behind my back, I am not really looking for advice only, I am hoping that you will make some of the decisions and take over some of the work.
My email address is listed, my phone number is 614-759-0713. I'm available days, evenings, and many weekends.
