We are exploring the pro's and con's of making Park Timbers a limited access community similar to Stonebridge. At a minimum, we would have to increase our maintenance dues to at least $300/year. Would you be in favor of such a change?

Limited Access
If it's like the one in Stonebridge than no thanks. I've seen that one in action, or more appropriately, inaction.

Limited Access Issue
Jerry,
Thanks for the feedback. We have had some similar comments that the Stonebridge limited access may not be all it's built up to be. Apparently, the gate person is not always that effective. Nevertheless, we have been told that their prior minor crime problem has gone away, and property values have reported increased by approximately 10%. So maybe there are some things we could learn from their experiment.

Limited Access Proposal
I expect to retire in the next year or so. I believe I will move out of NOLA at that time - to who knows where. Therefore, I would be more apt to abstain from voting on the topic. However, where do the folks on Lenox fit into this plan? Also, is $300 a start for higher fees? Could we have a fixed number of years w/o a price increase - say 5 years at $300 with a revote at the end of that time? Seems like the start-up cost would be very high, but later the costs should decrease with systems installed w/ maintenance contract.
Just some thoughts...
