Help with applying for RIte Care is available for free and is kept confidential.
Family Resource Counselors can help you apply.
• Family Resource Counselors (FRCs) are located at Community Health Centers and hospitals. They will explain
the RIte Care application, help you fill out the forms, and send them to the Rhode Island Department of Human
Services (DHS). DHS decides who is eligible.
• Some FRCs offer evening appointments and some speak languages other than English, including Spanish,
Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, Khmer and others.
