Campaign Manager, Light The Night

Overall
Responsibility
:
Responsible for partnering with the Director in the management of the chapter's
Light The Night campaign to increase fundraising. Basic functions include
developing and executing a Light The Night strategic plan, ensuring LTN best
practices are fully implemented, managing the walk's high level volunteers,
revenue generation, expense and fiscal controls, human resources, operations, and
marketing and promotions.

Work Direction:
Works under the supervision and direction of the Senior Campaign Director or
assigned staff, requiring management approval for activities outside the annual
strategic plan and budget. Partners with the Light The Night National Manager
for direction, resources and expertise.


  • Essential Functions:

 


  • Program Strategic Planning – Assist the
    Director in the development of a comprehensive annual Light The Night strategic
    plan inclusive of best practices enhancements, volunteer leadership goals,
    program budget, staffing assignments, task timelines, and additional
    significant events and/or promotions. Ensure plans and resources are in place
    to achieve, at a minimum, the program's approved net campaign revenue budget.

  • Program Best Practices – Ensure that
    Light The Night best practices are implemented to increase revenue (Volunteer
    leadership, Corporate Recruitment Event, Kickoff, Active Team management, WOW
    walk, Awards Reception).

  • Human Resources – Volunteers – Partner with the
    Director to identify and recruit high level volunteer leadership for LTN
    (Corporate Walk Chair and Executive Committee). Cultivate and steward assigned
    volunteer leaders to ensure each volunteer meets their capacity to impact LTN
    revenue and ensure the volunteer's experience increases our volunteer retention
    capabilities. Recruit, manage and coordinate volunteers and/or interns for LTN
    Logistics/Planning Committees and office work.

  • Relationship Management & Development – Develop
    relationships with key volunteers and cultivate those volunteers through
    strategic donor development initiatives including calls, visits, national &
    local recognition, elevated role, board involvement, etc. Ensure volunteer
    leaders are educated about the mission and that each touch of the donor is
    strategic and personally relates to their interests/walk participation.

  • Sponsorships –Implement sponsor retention and
    prospecting plans to increase sponsorship revenue for Light The Night. Develop
    relationships with sponsors/donors to secure cash, in-kind donations and
    marketing benefits/partnerships for the walk(s).

  • Program Recruitment – Develop, plan
    and execute the corporate recruitment event (CRE) and overall acquisition
    strategies for sponsors, retail partners, corporate teams, friends and family
    teams and individuals. Track sponsorship, team recruitment and CRE RSVPs.
    Manage and implement recruitment events, mailings and recruitment meetings.

  • Program Retention – Work to meet, at a minimum,
    and exceed the national team retention average. Provide outstanding customer
    service and recognition of all sponsors, team captains, volunteers, etc.

  • Active Team Management - Cultivate,
    guide. motivate and support team captains and individuals with their team
    fundraising plans, internal kickoffs, fundraising and any Light The Night
    training and recruitment needs.

  • Event Logistics – Oversee and/or organize and
    plan all event logistics for CRE, Kickoff, Walk and Awards Reception. Engage
    volunteer committees to assist/plan the logistics. Ensure all events are
    special and exceed donor and volunteer expectations.

  • Human Resources – Staff – As assigned, hire,
    manage and train LTN staff. Supervise, motivate and empower assigned staff.
    Assist Director in the development of staff structure and assignments. Ensure
    assigned staff have annual performance objectives and review progress towards
    objectives on a regular basis and create professional development plans for
    assigned staff.

  • Financial Planning & Oversight – Assist the
    Director in the development of the annual LTN budget and twice annual (or as
    directed) program forecasting. Assist in tracking and monitoring program's
    expenses. Work with the Director to track recruitment, retention and other
    metrics to maintain and ensure the program's financial health. As assigned,
    overall responsibility for a “walk site” budget, planning and development.

  • Program Marketing & Materials –Utilize
    national LTN marketing materials to ensure consistent program branding and
    program exposure and marketing needed to sustain and grow program. As assigned,
    organized chapter's mass mails, point of purchase brochure, radio& T.V.
    sponsors, press releases, print advertising and emarketing. Develop chapter's
    program binders/materials by customizing national templates where appropriate.
    Ensure all necessary materials are available and maintain/manage inventory.

  • Technology – Manage and/or work with the LTN
    Coordinator/assistant to customize and maintain the local LTN website to
    inspire fundraising and cultivate volunteers and donors. Utilize feedback from
    national website audits to enhance and improve chapter's website. Work with the
    Director to develop promotions of eFundraising pages to participants and to
    ensure chapter staff are trained on Society Central, ExactTarget and
    eFundraising/etools pages.

  • Mission Integration – Maintain a
    working knowledge of LLS' mission and programs. Ensure that mission is
    integrated into all program aspects with particular attention to Honored
    Heroes. LLS' mission should be evident in LTN's Corporate Recruitment Event,
    Kickoffs, Internal Kickoffs, the Walk, Awards Reception and in all mass
    communication material.

  • Coordination with Home Office – Ensure that
    you and your staff respond in timely fashion and participates in Home Office
    sponsored activities: submitting timely walk site projections, participating in
    conference calls, implementing national program best practices, working with
    LTN National Staff to develop chapter program plan.

  • Other Chapter Activities - Assist as
    assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
