On Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 6:00 PM, a meeting of the Wellness Committee of the Pawtucket School Committee will be held in the Administration Building at 286 Main Street.

 

Because of changes in employment status and school involvement, we are short many members as required by the State of RI General Laws for Wellness Committees.

 

It is important that a new policy be established this year.  Because this policy will involve stipulation of food choices during the school day and at school functions, it is imperative that we have input from those of you involved in our schools.

 

If you are interested in joining this committee (meets once a month), please let me know.  If you are unable, please pass the word to co-workers, parents, interested community members that we will be meeting and we would appreciate their input.  Ultimately, we would like to have a minimum of one (1) administrator, (1) community representative involved with the children of this city, teachers (several) and parents (many....).  If you have suggestions of persons that may be interested in being involved and would like me to contact them directly, please let me know.
