Question, Is there any discussion by the board of District 5 to repair or replace the Railroad Island sign on the triangle lot of Tedesco and Otsego Street?    I have slowly watched the sign deteriorate over time, letters are missing, sign is leaning and once a garden area gone...

It is so true that the Railroad Island sign is in much need of repair or replacement.  At the Railroad Island Task Force there was a discussion many months ago.  The conclusion was to replace it since it is to a point of non-repair.  What the new sign should look like brought up passion and opinions.  The sign issue was then dropped since there was no funding to be found.  The RRITF will be resuming its meeting the end of September and this topic could be added to the agenda if so desired.  Councilmember Brendmoen will be attending the meetings.  Now is a good time to bring the issue forward.
