OK, it looks like the next issue of the Castlerock News will be sent by mail sometime in July.  This issue will be the LAST to be delivered by mail.  Future issues will be sent electronically by e-mail.  Sending the newsletter by e-mail will allow for more content, make it more relevant and timely, and save your HOA hundreds of dollars each year.  However, this next issue will be an expanded version, compared to previous issues.  This is to demonstrate the possibilities by going digital.  One of the benefits of having unlimited space is the ability to include reader submissions.  We will, hopefully, be including a few of these in the next issue, just to demonstrate how cool this new newsletter will be.  So, if you have anything you would like to see in the next, mailed issue, such as personal or family milestones such as an anniversary, the kiddo made the honor roll or baseball team, you just got back from the best vacation EVER, or something like that, or if you have a favorite recipe you would like the rest of Castlerock to know about, or anything you think others in Castlerock would be interested in, please let us know.  If we get too overwhelmed with submissions, we will have to make tough choices, as the mailed version will not be able to be a fully complete as the future, digital ones.  Anyway, please have your submissions in by Friday, July 5.  You can e-mail them to Betsy, who is putting the newsletter together, at mikeandbetsy1994@att.net or you can send it by snail-mail (or drop it off in person) to our home at 4104 Drawbridge Ln.  Tell your neighbors who may not have seen this post about this!!!  Let's see what you've got!!!

The newsletter will go out tomorrow!!  Here's the deal: if we have your e-mail address, it will be sent to you via your e-mail address.  If we don't have an e-mail address, then you will receive it in the mail.  The electronic edition may get sent tomorrow or the next day, depending on how long it takes us to upload the addresses. This will be the last issue to be delivered by mail, so it's important that we have your e-mail address.  There are many advantages to sending it out electronically: saves a ton on copying and postage, it can be much larger, thus containing more informative news, it can be in color, which means we can send pictures with it, if you have a photo you would like see included, and they can go out more often if needed.  So, please, make sure the HOA has a current e-mail address on file.

I think that I have written several posts about the option of a homeowner and/or resident receiving the newsletter via either email or mail. It is the case of not everyone having a computer, smartphone or some other gadget with an email account to receive information.
