Peoria Park Neighborhood Association

Overwhelming Support for a HOA

Nov 24, 2001

At the Sept 25 homeowners meeting there were 50 homes represented. We discussed what the typical functions of a HOA are and what they are not. We also discussed new opportunities for Peoria Park such as a barrier wall on Jewell and the 35-40,000 new jobs at Fitzsimons which should make our neighborhood attractive to new buyers. Fitzsimons is only 5.5 miles away. Many people who will be working at that facility will need housing nearby. They will also want their children in the Cherry Creek school system. We are the closest neighborhood to fit that description. However, we will be competing with Ptarmigan Park, Eastridge, Village East, and Dam East and West. Currently, they are far ahead of us in maintaining their neighborhood. So, we have a great opportunity to get things moving!!
