Greenspace needs to be acquired so that our seniors and children can have access by walking to parks---tot parks for our little children, parks for our young people to be able to play basketball, baseball and soccer; then park space for our seniors.

The Jeremiah S. Gilbert House at Avery Park is supposed to be our greenspace/park space, but the City of Atlanta rents the facility out so we really do not have a space to make the necessary additions for the community's needs.

We are surrounded by a whole interstate and highway system that has a minium of 6 lanes of traffic plus more to cross so we have to be proactive and take the lead to identify space for this to happen.
