Be Alert, Be Safe

Caution is always wise. Learning how to protect yourself is great. Reporting suspicious activity and keeping an eye on neighbors for each other, especially when they are at work or on vacation, is a blessing. Paranoid is something to be cautioned. Not every youth or person or ethnicity or one with long hair is suspect. But always, always, look in the back seat of your car before you enter it. Always lock your door, even if you just go to pay for gas. And let's have that forum! Yes!
There is a burglar for sure

I posted a reply once, but I wanted to comment again. There is a problem to be sure. I was burglarized in this fall. My home was broken into and my laptop computer was stolen. I found this extremely disturbing and felt a profound sense of violation. I would like the police to be extremely vigilant in our area and to be sure that we have a secure and safe neighborhood. I was able to give a lot of information. I have huge guard dogs. I have a secure, locked home. But still, someone got in in a blink whilst I was away. Hence, extra precautions had to be taken in my home that now should... should make it impossible for anyone to survive entrance. But that is so sad, so sad indeed to have to think that this world has come to that that one has to figure out how to make one's house a fortress that one cannot escape if one enters unwelcomed unharmed and uncaught. Of course, the impossible is always possible, and Fort Knox can be broken into, and one can be killed driving down a street and hit by a semi tractor trailor. We don't know our destiny. Yet, I personally know we all need to be very alert and watch out for each other. And I will repeat: The best defense we have is to watch out for our neighbors. If you see anything, anything at all unusual going on at your neighbors house, call the police and ask them to do a welfare check. Insist on it. INSIST. Band together and we can curb the violence. If we stop the madness, we will save our children and ourselves. And let's also hear what the professionals have to say.
