I've just recently made a couple of my neighbors mad at me. I reported them for illegally dumping trash in the alley. Why? I've seen cleaner alleys off of Van Buren!! This is ridiculous! I've got big shoulders and I told them that I reported them. They know who I am and who reported them. What is the solution? Don't dump illegally! These same neighbors have obvious pride of ownership by looking at the front of their houses, but it looks like a slum from the alley! I've only caught two of my neighbors doing this, but many more are guilty. I am embarrassed to look down the alley. It looks like trash live here. I know that outsiders also come here to dump illegally, but we need to police ourselves, first. Come on neighbors, let's get it together! If your mad at me, fine! I don't care! But, remember this! While I'm the same neighbor that reports you for illegally dumping, I'm the same neighbor that would be the first to act if I saw you being assaulted, if your house was being burglarized, if your fence was being graffitied, or if your house was on fire!!! It works both ways! We all need to work together to combat the deteriorating decay of OUR neighborhood. I see the potential greatness and I plan to stay a while!!
