Please be aware that there has been a recent number of robberies in the neighborhood. Although it is always important to watch out for your neighbors and have them do the same for your home, it is especially important right now that we all keep our eyes peeled for any suspicious behavior what so ever. Please remember the 3-2-3 to be crime free suggestion. This stands for knowing the three neighbors behing you, the three in front of your house, as well as the neighbors on each side of you. I have been told by my mail carrier that some of these robberies occured by the criminal knocking out the glass from the back door and placing their hand in to unlock the dead bolt. A further suggestion may be the placement of a double keyed deadbolt. Of course the most important step we can take is to be aware of what is going on around our neighborhood. These robberies are occuring during the daytime. If everyone keeps an eye out there is a good chance that they/he/she will be seen entering the backyard or a door. Please remember if you see any suspicious behavior to call 911 immediately.
