Hey Neighbors of SUnbeam! There was a recent study "Charrette" done on the area between 32nd and 52nd Sts and between McDowell and the Airport to see wha tcould be done to really enhance the area. Suggestions included building a new highschool and grocery store at 40th St and McDowell and having some nicely planned urban fill in, INCLUDING a nice park on the northe side of the canal from Crockett School, accessed by a pedestrian bridge. It would include some nice retail business along Van Buren, especially along the block between 32nd and 36th Sts. We might just be dreaming but you'll hear more on this later.
