Rock Throwers

Posted in: W Point Towne Center
I have observed several groups of children throwing rocks at road signs on their way home from school. This is happening within the community - not on the main street. Not only is this dangerous, but I for one didn't pay for landscape material to have it pitched at signs. Parents need to supervise their children as they go to and from school. Everybody wanted the gate in the wall so the kids could have safe access to the school campus - now let's keep our properties safe from the children.

I agree

Thanks Karen,

I agree that, as parents, we are responsible for our children 24 hours a day whether they are home or not. Unfortunately, some kids don't understand what respect for a community is all about and in this case I believe it's cases of vandalism.

My suggestion, if you don't know who these kids are, is to report it as you see it. Throwing rocks, as it also disrupts the landscaping, can lead to more ''exciting'' activities such as breaking lights, windows, etc.

If you don't see any improvement or any response from the Surprise Police Dept., please let me know.
