being built at the NE corner of 43rd and Bethany for some outfit called PLS Financial Services. It's bad enough already having one at 35th and Glendale, the neighborhood
doesn't need businesses of this type that contribute nothing in terms of quality of life. I just wish there was some way of finding out before the city had issued a building permit for this...Councilman Mattox, where are you?

Payday loan store update

I wasn't aware of it when first posting but the new payday loan building is the new location for the existing payday loan store near the Fry's on the south side of Bethany just west of 43rd Ave. It's a little late to stop this move but hopefully some action can be taken to prevent another payday loan shop from moving in to the old location. Does anyone know if that Glendale neighborhood has an association that can be of help?

You might want to contact the City of Glendale's Neighborhood Services Dept. That part of town is considered the Cactus District. Perhaps one of their City employees will be able to get you in touch with an association on the Glendale side of 43rd.
