I realize that I don't actually live in the Westown area anymore but my family home is there and I will always consider it my home. I will always care about the safety, history and value of Westown.

I was informed today that after the first of the year Bashas will become a Food City. I was also told that the ''higher ups'' talked to the church (Calvary) about this and told them that the neighborhood had 1 year to let them know about their feelings regarding this. January 1st will be the end of the year they gave us. For years promises have been made to the residence of Westown by Bashas that the store will be remolded. Apparently all lies. How many more will they feed us regarding a Food City?

I would like to know why was it that WWNA wasn't contacted.

I personally have found that Food City's do not have the freshest of produce and discriminate against certain nationalities. I have also been told by others that had a Food City move in their neighborhood that the property values decreased.

WWNA Help! I believe that we need to get together quickly and let Bashas know that the store was made by and maintained by Westown residence.

If I am the only one that feels this way, I will take my grocery money elsewhere.
