what a shame, summer is here and the kids in the area cant even play basketball.

The problems in the park have forced the gates to be locked. We all pulled together once before, and the police where doing there job also. They have since stopped, and all the problems have come back. My fence since has been graffitied again over 3 weeks ago. I have called 3 times to graffiti hotline, and nothing has been done. The gangs come here late at night,and cause trouble. Calling the police does nothing unless they get more then one phone call.I know this is way off from just gates being locked, but if the sourse off the trouble would be taken care of then we could have full acsess to ARE PARK.. I agree that perhaps if the source of the problem was taken care of then maybe we wouldn't have nearly as many problems. However, things are done when there are more voices heard. If more people of Westown would get involved, at least by attending the meetings then maybe we would be able to fix the issues. There is approximately 1500 homes in Westown. Yet, how many people do we see at the meetings? As for the vandalism, you can request to have paint delivered from Grafitti Busters. If you are unable to paint the area yourself, please call the Block Watch Hotline at 602-234-6161. We need to all stand together. Thank you for being a concerned resident of Westown.
