Ten of Phoenix's worst red-light running intersections now have red-light cameras to catch offenders.

This in the city that is the deadliest in the nation for red-light running deaths. I certainly hope this helps.

Phoenix joins Chandler, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Tempe that already have equipped dangerous intersections with red-light cameras.

All the cities are also stressing a campaign of ''Brake on yellow, stop on red.''

Both the campaign and the cameras are so needed here.

Do you realize that so far this year, in just four months and eight days, a total of 21 people have died in red-light collisions in Phoenix?

If this trend continues, by the end of the year more than 60 people will have died in Phoenix because idiots ran red lights.

Please, slow down and be careful out there.
