Tamara, could you please forward this to the group? Thanks!
As many of you may know I'm moving shortly, and it is unfortunate that I am
unable to take my dog Gretchen with me. I had thought I had found her a new
home, but the person who was to take her backed out this last week for
personal and financial reasons. This is troubling as I won't be able to have
her in my new place and it seems the only alternative I may have if she is
not adopted would be to send her to the pound. Lord knows that is not
something I want to do under any circumstances. I am hoping that one of you
reading this, or a relative or friend at work will be interested in adopting
her ASAP.
ABOUT GRETCHEN: She is a 6-year-old lab/husky mix weighing approximately 65
lbs., well-behaved and obedient, housebroken, does not chew or destroy
things, in good health and VERY loving. She is up to date on her shots (as
of the end of August). She loves people, loves going for walks, loves rides
in the car, and loves giving dog kisses. She is black with a few small white
spots and a gray chin (which is how she got her name >> gray-chin...
Gretchen), and a reddish brown undercoat. She's got a great smile and these
huge soft, pointy ears! She doesn't shed much for a dog, either, nor does
she bark a lot ~ only when she sees other dogs or cats in the yard. She does
not eat table scraps or any kind of people food. All around she is a fine
companion, and it saddens me that I can't bring her with me as we have grown
very close. But she does adapt very well to people and surroundings.
She is an alpha female, and as such, she does exhibit aggression towards
other dogs. So she would make a perfect pet for a household that does not
currently have a dog or cat. Other pets such as birds do not intrigue her
very much, so there are no issues there. And her new owner should like
receiving dog kisses otherwise she's not the right dog for you... she's VERY
affectionate.
I am hoping that someone here will adopt her, or will know of someone who is
looking for a pet. She comes with all sorts of goodies too... 2 leashes,
many toys, nail clippers, food & treats, a box of bags for picking up after
her (I get them at Circle K), and food/water bowls. I must find her a new
home by the 12th of the month!!!
If you think you would like to adopt Gretchen, please call me ASAP so I can
have you meet her. My number is 602 287 0514.
Thank you !
Andrew
