Recycling bins are gone?
I just noticed that this discussion group exists and sadly found that I was too late to voice an opinion about the recycling bins - I just noticed they were gone today when I went to empty my bin.. I think that taking them away is a terrible idea. Yes - they get filled really fast - but that means that there aren't enough for this complex. Taking them away completely means that 99% of the people here will dump their recyclables in the garbage bins and that is sad. It's difficult to know where to take the stuff otherwise. Maybe some recycling centers can be posted on the bulletin boards. It's just a shame. I loved having those there - and I saw them out of my kitchen window every day. I liked the fact that people used them and that those items were not going to the dump. The problem was the that there weren't enough. I saw people drive up to them every day to dump - but they weren't from outside of the complex. They were residents who would have to hike quite a ways with a couple of wheelbarrels if they wanted to dump their recycling. There were just too few for this big complex.
