On November 15, 2006, P.I.C.O. NC held it's election and two members of our board were elected.
Our Association's President, Janelle Brown and Vice-President, Donna Bradley were elected to the Board.
Although, there were three challenges to this year's election, thankfully, Donna and Janelle positions were not challenged. On January 17, 2007, the Final Decision Maker upheld the final results of the election. The new Board Members were sworn in February 6, 2007 by 10th District Council Member, Herb Wesson!
The good news continues, Janelle was elected Co-Chairperson and Donna was elected Treasurer of P.I.C.O. Neighborhood Council.
What does that mean for our Association? Having both our President and Vice-President on the Council's mean our challenges will be resolved. It also means that all of us must be willing to give more of ourselves to this community in order to affect change.
