Hi, I understand that someone tried to relocate 14, day old mallard hatchlings and their parents to Crescent Lake, Friday afternoon, March 23. The adults, of course, immediately took off flying, back to their original location and the babies are now alone. If anyone is in this neighborhood. PLEASE see if you can locate them and help them. They'll die within 24 hours I'm sure. They'll first of all scatter because their ''imprint figure'' is gone, they won't be able to find food, and since they would normally sleep underneath their Mom's protective wings, they'll die of exposure without her. Please, if anyone in this neighbor has an ounce of compassion, please try to help. This is a native species, unlike muscovy, and deserves to be protected.
Thank you
