**** CRIME ALERT **** in the University area of Charlotte, NC

Time:  About 12 noon

Crime: Armed Robbery  

A residential lawn service technician was robbed at gunpoint by 2 large build, light skinned black or of Spanish decent males in their 20-30's.  The assailants drove a old looking dark red or maroon 4 door sedan.  It may have dark primer instead of paint on the vehicle.  The vehicle was a small type with a flat hard top roof (not curved as in some vehicles).  After the robbery, the assailants drove at a high rate of speed while swerving dangerously.  Their windows were rolled up so no one could see them inside, except through the windshield.  The only item they successfully acquired in the robbery was a leaf blower.  They attempted to rob the lawn service technician vehicle, however, they were not able to get the keys.  The lawn service technician was very shaken after the robbery and attempted to write down the assailant's license plate number.  Unfortunately, the crime was not reported to CMPD.
