Once again it seems time to bring up the massive amount of traffic that refuses to obey posted speeds. I appreciate the improved presence of officers both patrolling and radaring.
However it is failing to curb the rash of people speeding around St. Albert and cutting between Westport and Herr lane.
I feel it is time to start looking seriously at speed humps/bumps to bring down this average speed. The negative feedback of slowing down emergency vehicles is garbage, as is the increased difficulty of snow removal. I understand that responding vehicles WILL have to slow over them, but in the big picture it will be a minimal impact. And if snow removal takes a bit longer, I would think the added safety to our residence is well worth it.
What can be done, other suggestions to slow people down?
