Has anyone else seen the new transportation-funding bill?  New fees for Coloradoans in a recession?

Anybody else remember two ballot questions that address the state's fiscal crisis, titled Referendum C and Referendum D?

Remember being told at the time (2005) that the money was needed by Colorado to fund Health Care, Schools, and TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS?

I've already been asked to fund my school with additional mill levies and health care costs rise and now we have to raise fees on working familes in a recession...

I'm starting to think the government never tires of asking for my money...

No kidding, now is not the time to increase fees and taxes, ala Hoover in the early 1930's. Also what was Ritter and the Democrats thinking last Spring when they adopted the current budget? Things weren't exactly wonderful at the time.

If you can't pay for it, then you don't do it. End of story.....

Actually this seems like the perfect time for these kinds of things. We kill 2 birds with one stone here, we stimulate our local economy by creating jobs and fix our delapidated roads and bridges which are in bad shape!

I have two words for you guys, Herbert Hoover!
