What if the Obama administration ordered BP to start spending to clean up the gulf, and to keep spending to end the oil leak. Put BP on a 24/7 cleanup and end the oil leak campaign. The cleanup and end the oil leak campaign would last until there is no oil leak and there is no traces of oil off shore and on shore.
Jobs would be available, and people all over America would benefit. The joblessness we are experiencing would cease. People working (at the expense of BP) would be able to pay rent and mortgage payments. People would be buying food, buying clothing. Merchants would be hiring workers to cover the increase in needs for goods and services. Products and services affected by BP's oil spill would be resolved in some manner to benefit the merchants affected.
BP would financially compensate the states on the immediate coast of the oil spill. Taxes would be added compensate for workers who would be coming into America to take advantage of the job openings.
This BP oil spillage is an opportunity for BP to show some humanity, and right a wrong, and come out of this with the American people remembering a good deed arising out of a bad situation. What if BP actually could look beyond their profit goals and could see the needs of Americans. Make no mistake, this is BP's problem, but they can open doors like America has never seen before.
What if BP would start spending 24/7 to cleanup the spilled oil and to end the oil leak by offering jobs to American and any who would come to help?
