On Thursady, May 13 someone entered a neighbor's house near 55th and Lincoln while they were home at 4:20 PM. The intruder opened the back door to the kitchen and the dogs started barking. The intruder shut the door and left. No description. Our street phone tree was activated-evryone who was home knew of it in about 15 minutes. No more incidents on our street were reported that day. Have any other neighbors experienced break-ins recently?

Dear Ms. Hilts:

I read your message regarding the intruder. What a scary and probably continually scary experience.

I live on 50 and Taylor Ct. and use to be very casual about my doors during the day. Well I want to thank you for making other neighbors "aware" of this past experience. I will now keep my doors closed and locked when I am home alone. And of course the alarm set when I am gone.
