It can be dramatically reduced

If you want to reduce the amount of speeders, it can be reduced with a group effort. Understand the majority of speeders probably don?’t realize it because they come off of Sawmill driving 40+ mpg to 25, which is a big difference. First, everyone needs to make a small effort. This effort can be as simple as setting an example when you drive so the car behind you realizes the proper speed. Secondly if you see a speeder while walking or in your yard, a simple courteous gesture to slow down will usually do the trick. Thirdly for the blatant and habitual offenders, I?’ve also seen people roll a tennis ball well in front of the car as they come barreling down the street.

The first two should make a dramatic improvement. I know I too have been guilty and a simple polite gesture makes the point quite well. It?’s all part of making this a new habit and standard for the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it will only work if the majority wants it to succeed.
Ignorance of the law !

No excuse,State law says ALL residential areas are 25 MPH. If they don't know that, they shouldn't be driving. I'm ready to start throwing bricks. Better solution, Jot down their license # and then pay them a visit later,if you know what I mean.
