Is anybody concerned about Target being a neighbor and the traffic it will potentially bring through the neighborhood and down Sawmill Road? They are stating the traffic will be almost as bad as Walmart near Camden Lakes and Wedgewood. Any thoughts? Anybody going to the trustee meeting?

To me Target is WalMart with a different name. No difference. I read the paper and am not real clear on where it is going to go. Southwest side of Seldom Seen and Sawmill behind CVS? If so would not be so bad. We like Target, but don't mind going down to the store south of here.

Are they already started to build it. There is a lot of activity going on over there.

Not approved yet

The trustees on Monday voted not to extend the development plan. This means that Target will have to reapply after the end of the month. This means that Target will have to comply with the 65,000 square foot big box limitation.

The con of this is that if Target is not approved in the future, they may decide to annex to Powell. Even though Powell has the same legislation in place, we will still need to go to those meetings.

Everybody needs to do what they can to stay informed.
