I am going to start organizing a community party/gettogether. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions feel free to voice them now. I am looking for ideas.

I think that is a great idea. Brett Lang and I were just discussing this while I was planning the Simonton celebration I just put on this past Saturday. We both thought it would be something to do in the fall. Honestly, I think it is too hot to do that now. Saturday was very hot, and people did not stay long. We went through MAJOR bottled water, and the kids had a hard time using the bounce houses. Just too hot. I'm all for a fall party though and would glad to help you. our event went great (awesome family D.J., bouncers, face painting, games and prizes and concessions...but HOT. Let me know if you need some help.

I have heard of something called a progressive party?! It is where you have appetizers at one persons house, then have the main course at another and so on and so on. That is an idea in case you want to hold the party sooner in the heat!!
