CART has filed a suit on the Bridges Project. While our lawsuit lists negative impacts for all Louisvillians, the worst impacts are, as ususal, on the shoulders of poor, elderlly, and minority communities. Louisville has a long history of structural racism. This is particularly evident in the Bridges Project which will suck jobs and tax revenue from the City of Louisville, and replace it with decreased transit services and increased pollution for West End and Downtown neighborhoods.
CART has scheduled two public meetings to discuss the lawsuit. There will be a short presentation followed by question and answer opportunity. Other meetings will be scheduled and if you want tohold one for your neighborhood church or other group we will try and do that. Contact us through our website, www.cartky.org.
