Hello! Smile

My husband and I LOVE the Nashville area. We have followed it's history and rich music history for years. We are about 7 years from retirement and beginning to think about areas to retire. The Nashville area, most definately, is at the top of our list of places to consider. My husband is going to retire from Police work and I will look for part-time work in Special Education.

In considering places to settle when retiring, it's important that the people are friendly. Are Nashville people ( and surrounding areas) accepting of latin people? Im half Scottish and Mexican. I look more White than Hispanic. My husband is Italian and Mexican. He looks of Mexican descent. We don't speak spanish, which we both feel is unfortunate. We are Americans, born and raised in the USA. Smile We are very Conservative Christians and love the Lord Jesus Christ!!! Smile It may sound silly to ask such a question, but are Tennessee people alright with Latin people? Or would we not be welcomed?

Thank you for your honest answers.

Have a Blessed day!!!!

Nashville is diverse city, but diversity is more visible in certain neighborhoods.  :)  I live in the Flatrock community in South Nashville.  Our community has more than 60 nationalities represented and a very vibrant Latin community.  It's a community full of history, art, culture, and the best restaurants in the Nashville area.
